South London Press, 13/02/1996 Winter swimming event organised by the South London Swimming Club to launch a £1.5m national lottery bid for funding to improve the lido's facilities. Despite the support of Wandsworth Council, the bid did not go ahead. Disregard the reference to the lido as 'Europe's second largest' - it's definitely not!
