Charles Bacon

Charles Bacon (left) joined the South London Swimming Club after his retirement in the 1980s. He took part in the Sunday morning races well into his 80s. Unidentified man on right of picture. In the background, the old basket room is visible where swimmers used to leave their clothes in a basket. The café, with its entrance door on the left, has not yet been refurbished.
