May Day Race

Artist Toni McGreachan spent six months as artist-in-residence at Tooting Bec Lido in 1999, producing a series of paintings reflecting daily life at the lido. May Day Race shows members of the South London Swimming Club getting ready for the start of the regular Sunday morning race. Oil on canvas, 74 cm square.
