Christmas Day 1906

Christmas Day 1906 It's not certain that a race was held on the first Christmas morning that the pool was open but it seems likely. The Burton Cup was first competed for in 1908 and remains the much-prized trophy for the men's Christmas Day race. Note that in 1906 all the swimmers were men (assuming the child did not go in the water).
