Horace Lock

Balham & Tooting Mercury, 1930 To mark 25 years of the South London Swimming Club, the local paper published a series of articles in honour of key players. Horace Lock, the son of one of the founding members of the club, T. B. Lock, became secretary in 1924. In six years, he trebled the membership. His motto was said to be: 'Not can we? But we can!'
