Newsletters 1998-1999

The South London Swimming Club newsletter was introduced by Betty Freddi, Club Secretary, in June 1993. She edited it for the next 18 years until failing eyesight caused her to hand over to a new editor. The newsletter was sold pool-side for a nominal amount to cover costs. The bound volume was compiled by SLSC member Margy Sullivan. The photograph on the front is looking towards the shallow end of the lido in the late 1990s: the wall to the left of the café has not yet been knocked through and there is no paddling-pool or sauna to the right.
