Balham & Tooting Mercury, 12/09/1930
Twenty-six swimmers entered the South London Swimming Club’s annual river swim at Walton-on-Thames. The race was won by Ken Sharpe in 22 minutes 35 secs. The report includes an account of the celebrations after the race. It appears that A F Brooks helped to finance the event.
