Horace Lock, Secretary of the South London Swimming Club, is presented with a gold watch at the club’s annual dinner in recognition of his 10 years of service. Making the presentation, club captain William Laws said: ‘L stood for leader of men; O represented organiser; C for creates ideas and schemes, and K for keen as mustard.’
