Inquest into the death of 5-year old John Waddell who died at the pool after falling into an outlet pipe while playing in the fountain. The London County Council, which then owned the pool, accepted full responsibility as there were no signs warning of the potential danger posed by the fountain. The coroner recorded a verdict of Accidental Death. Railings werre subsequently installed round the fountain. See also Wandsworth Borough News, 26/07/1946.
