Advert for summer opening 2017. The claim that the lido is ‘the largest open air swimming pool’ in the UK is debatable. The Jubilee Pool in Penzance has a greater surface area but is irregular in shape and is filled with sea-water. Tooting can claim, though, to be the biggest freshwater open-air pool in the UK. Places for People became Wandsworth Councils’ leisure contractor in 2014, changing its name from DC Leisure.
