SLSC Rules 2009

The South London Swimming Club was established in August 1906, a few weeks after the Bathing Lake opened on 28 July. The early aims of the club were to promote swimming and to teach life-saving. Weekly races were organised by the Club and these continue every Sunday morning today. The SLSC quickly established a good working relationship with London County Council (which owned the pool) and Wandsworth Borough Council (which ran it). The Club still co-operates closely with Wandsworth Council and its leisure contractor today. These rules were drawn up in 2009 and amended in 2010, 2013, 2005 & 2017.
