A rowing-boat is used to facilitate cleaning the pool during spring 2002. In the background the new entrance, designed by WM Martin of London, is still under construction ahead of its opening in May 2002. The card was used as a flyer to promote membership of the South London Swimming Club. The image recalls the 1900s when a rowing-boat was kept at Tooting Bathing Lake to help with rescues.
